Carl Michaelis, the author of the Story of Jesus of Nazareth novel, lived the better part of his adult life in Israel. Carl is of German origin and studied social science and history at German and Israeli universities, while building and running a successful trade business, for several decades.
In his early 50′s, Carl Michaelis proudly presents his first novel. Drawing from his experience and understanding of the Jewish way of life he gives the reader a unique view of the life of the first Christian Community.
Michaelis uses Theodor, the main character of this book, to offer the reader a real time perspective of how people lived and conducted themselves at that era. Theodor’s story then leads the reader to a better understanding of the rivalries and intrigues inside of the Christian Community and the background to the decision of the Courts of those days to condemn Jeshua of Nazareth to be crucified, just after the Passover Holiday.
“This story is fun to read, the idea is great and for me with Christian background, certainly a bit strange at the beginning. But it is easy to identify with the main character. To see with his eyes what we only can imagine, is interesting and new. Recommend to read!” B. Mann
