“A story of Jesus like you have never read before”
A fiction telling the story of the community of Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth followers, living at the northern shores of the Sea of Galilee, in the months leading to the trial of their leader before the highest court of the Roman province of Judea.
The main character in our story of Jesus is Theodor, a young man, born in a small village near Collonia in Germania during the times the Roman Empire was struggling to defeat local tribes and conquer the vast Middle and East European continent. Theodor’s father was fighting with Arminius, head of the allied German forces, and succeeded in slaying the Romans troops in the year 16AD. This was a battle he never returned from, never seeing his new born child.
Having lost the protection of their leading warrior, the village people decided to start trading with the Romans. Though rooted in the tradition of his own tribe, Theodor grew up having Roman education. Prosperity was short lived as greedy merchants eventually lead the Romans to destroy the village.
Embarking on an adventurous voyage, fleeing the raging flames of his burning home, Theodor is being given a prophecy by Alma, the old healer from the Black Forest, telling him to be at the Jordan River, to witness and take part in the New Age soon to be spreading across the globe.
Escaping death more than once, seemingly by chance, Theodor finally joins the community of Yeshua the preacher. Our story of Jesus book tells how his special skills and knowledge of the Romans enables the community to hold large gatherings, where the Master could preach. The largest gathering of all was where they fed 5000 at Tabgha, next to the Sea of Galilee.
Being familiar to the Roman system, Theodor is captured by Roman soldiers several days before the final trial and brought before Pontius Pilatus, the governor of the Province of Judea. Can the deep love, Theodor finds for the first time in his life, for the daughter of a High Priest, help him save the master? Can he escape the ever closing tie around his neck of Roman prosecution who feared his connection to the highest ranking Generals of the vast Empire?
